Johnathan Wilson designed the laser cut ‘Door Claw’, a simple tool that allows you to open doors and touch screens without making contact to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases. The laser cut tool is now being used in a large amount of different facilities and provided to hospitals and other front-line organizations for use by their staff to limit the spread of COVID-19. It has so far proven successful and has shown wider uses such as pressing buttons on card machines, carrying bags and more. It is made of 5mm acrylic so it is easy to wipe clean and can be attached to your keys and is small enough to keep in your pocket or hand bag.
